Share

Ethereum’s validator exit queue has decreased to 767,349 ETH as of October 5, 2026, down from a peak of approximately 851,000 ETH on October 2. This decline follows the withdrawal of roughly 17,000 validators operated by MetaMask for Lido, holding approximately 523,000 ETH, after a security incident was disclosed on September 30. The entry queue, where ETH waits to begin staking, remains between 1.44 million and 1.5 million ETH, with an estimated wait of about 25 days. Total staked ETH stands at approximately 43.6 million. Lido expects most of the withdrawn ETH to return to staking, with re-entry potentially taking up to 45 days.
