Ethereum’s Glamsterdam upgrade will activate on the Sepolia testnet on October 6, 2026 at 13:53:36 UTC, at epoch 353,024. The upgrade combines the Amsterdam execution layer upgrade with the Gloas consensus layer upgrade, introducing enshrined proposer-builder separation (ePBS) and block-level access lists (BALs). Sepolia node operators, both staking and non-staking, must update their clients before this date. Following Sepolia, Glamsterdam will launch on the Hoodi testnet before moving to mainnet. These improvements aim to enhance Layer 1 throughput while keeping block validation practical for node operators.
