Near Intents has recovered the full 3.8 million dollars stolen during the exploitation of its cross-chain swap service. The funds were returned less than two days after CEO Alex Shevchenko publicly announced that the team had identified the attacker. The exploit took advantage of a flaw in the interaction between the Omni layer and the main contract. The attacker confirmed the restitution via an onchain message, admitting wrongdoing. Near Intents is now ending its internal investigation, eliminating the protocol’s direct financial exposure.
