Stacks Labs CTO Adriano Di Luzio outlines what changes with PoX-6

Share

PoX-6 is the planned next version of Stacks’ Proof of Transfer mechanism, aiming to replace curated parameters with community-governed mechanisms. The two major expected changes are the introduction of blind auctions for bonding capacity and automated on-chain yield adjustments. PoX-5 activated on July 30, 2026 at Bitcoin block 960,230, targeting approximately 3% annual yield for BTC with a 5% minimum STX pairing. Implementation details for PoX-6 have not yet been ratified and will largely depend on PoX-5’s bootstrap phase performance. Founder Muneeb Ali is set to take permanent leadership of Stacks Labs on October 15, 2026.
