Citi has raised its 12-month bitcoin price target to $113,400, up approximately 40% from the previous $82,000 forecast. The bank attributes this revision to the broader crypto market recovery, with bitcoin surging roughly 50% from its summer lows to trade around $86,000. For Strategy, Citi increased its price target from $136 to $240 while maintaining a buy rating, estimating that 34% of the projected upside would come from further BTC appreciation and 16% from expansion in the company’s market-to-net-asset-value premium. The bank expects around $5 billion in crypto inflows over the next year, driven by stronger cryptocurrency activity, a more supportive macroeconomic environment, and renewed ETF inflows.
