The flaw resided in the layer handling fund transfers and its communication with the main contract holding user assets. ZachXBT traced the stolen funds to KuCoin, where they were converted to bitcoin. The team reported the incident to authorities and committed to fully reimbursing all affected users. NEAR dropped nearly 9% to $4.86, while the Bitwise NEAR ETF, which launched just two days earlier, fell more than 7%.
