U.K. Prime Minister Andy Burnham said this week that a referendum on rejoining the European Union could potentially be included in a future election manifesto, though he added that it would not be the right time to hold one now. Britain officially left the EU in 2020, a decade after the 2016 referendum in which Britons voted 52% to 48% to leave. Some economic estimates suggest U.K. GDP is 5% to 8% smaller than it would have been without the vote to leave the bloc.
