Ripple unlocked 1 billion XRP from its escrow accounts at the start of October, split across four transactions totaling $1.49 billion at the time of unlock. The company typically returns a large portion of unlocked funds to escrow, between 700 and 800 million XRP, with the remainder used for operations and ecosystem initiatives. A total of 31.845 billion XRP remains in escrow, representing 31.9% of the total supply of 100 billion tokens, while the circulating supply stands at 68.1%. The XRPL ecosystem continues to grow with LendingProtocolV1_1 opening for validator voting and over 10 million x402 payments processed. Brazilian central securities depository CSD BR recorded securities ownership on a public blockchain for the first time, using the XRP Ledger in partnership with Ripple to digitize Brazil’s regulated capital markets.
