Share

CoinGecko compared the order books of eight centralized platforms (Binance, Bybit, Bitget, OKX, Kraken, Crypto.com, Coinbase, MEXC) between July 6 and September 3, 2026, across Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana and Dogecoin. On Bitcoin, the combined median depth reaches $29 million on the buy side and $37 million on the sell side within a $100 band, up nearly 50 % from the previous study, with Binance accounting for 25.3 % of that liquidity. Ethereum shows liquidity declining to 35-45 % of Bitcoin’s depth against at least 60 % in 2025, while Solana’s liquidity fell 28.5 % year-over-year to approximately $20 million per side. Dogecoin trails with a combined depth of only $9 to $12 million per side within a 2 % band. The study underscores that platform choice and execution timing can matter as much as fees for large orders.
