Google launched Gemini 4 Argon on September 30, 2026, the first model in the Gemini 4 series dedicated to defensive cybersecurity, capable of autonomously discovering, validating, and patching software vulnerabilities. The model can produce up to 1 million tokens in a single response, compared with 64,000 for previous generations, and scored 77.9% on the DeepSWE v1.1 benchmark, surpassing GPT-6 Astra (74.1%) and Claude Opus 5.5 (74.2%). Argon also achieved a top score of 68% on the vulnerability remediation portion of CWE-bench v1, and helped migrate over 800,000 lines of code in the Zircon kernel (Fuchsia OS) to Rust, saving 300 TiB of memory across Google’s data centers. Access is currently limited to members of the Fairwind Program, which includes over 650 vetted cyber defense organizations such as CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, and Wiz. Introductory pricing is set at 2 dollars per million input tokens and 10 dollars per million output tokens, with potential increases to 4 and 20 dollars respectively.
