AllUnity, a European MiCA-regulated stablecoin issuer, is launching USDAU, a new US dollar-backed stablecoin maintaining a 1:1 peg through segregated reserves. USDAU will debut on Ethereum, Solana, Base, Tempo, Arc and Polygon. The token is AllUnity’s fourth fiat-backed stablecoin, joining EURAU (euro), CHFAU (Swiss franc) and SEKAU (Swedish krona). US dollar-pegged tokens account for over 99% of the roughly $291 billion global stablecoin market, according to CoinGecko. The European Central Bank warned in June that greater use in European tokenized finance could deepen dependence on the dollar and weaken the euro’s role.
