Artificial Analysis, an independent AI benchmarking platform, launched the Cyber Index (v1) on September 25. The new index evaluates how effectively AI models discover, validate, and patch security vulnerabilities in enterprise systems. It is built on three benchmarks developed with industry partners: CWE-Bench-AA, DeepsecBench-AA, and CyberGym-E2E-AA, covering the full vulnerability management lifecycle. A notable design choice is the index’s exclusive focus on defensive cybersecurity capabilities, excluding offensive applications. The platform, co-founded by Micah Hill-Smith, already offers indices covering finance, legal, healthcare, and other sectors, with its general-purpose Intelligence Index at version 4.3.2.
