By classifying this chip as a professional workstation GPU rather than a data center chip, Nvidia may sidestep US export controls that have blocked its most advanced processors from the Chinese market. ByteDance alone is considering an order of approximately 1 million units, with Alibaba also among the companies whose purchase proposals are under review. Featuring 84 GB of GDDR7 ECC memory, 21,760 CUDA cores, and priced at roughly $13,000 per unit, this GPU optimized for AI inference workloads would represent one of Nvidia’s largest revenue streams globally.
