Bitget Raises Hack Estimate To $387.5M And Sets Withdrawal Restart Plan

Bitget has increased its confirmed loss estimate from $351.6 million to approximately $387.5 million following this week’s security breach. The exchange states that the vulnerability has been identified and patched, with no further unauthorized transfers possible. Independent investigation teams from Mandiant and SlowMist are participating in the case and a recovery bounty program has been launched. Withdrawals will resume in stages starting with Bitcoin on September 28, followed by Ether on September 29, USDT on September 30, and other services by October 2. Bitget maintains that customer account balances remain intact and that its protection arrangements cover the financial impact.
