By comparison, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, a Wall Street veteran, made only 29 transactions throughout 2025, all sales. Trump’s transactions included automated third-party index-replicating portfolios. The Stop Insider Trading Act supported by the Trump administration would prohibit stock trading by members of Congress, but would not apply to the president or vice president.
