Developers successfully prompted Meta’s AI agent Muse to export its entire root filesystem. The compressed archive contained roughly 2.7 GB of Ubuntu system files, application templates, and internal documentation. This security flaw was discovered just two weeks after Muse’s public launch on September 8, 2026. Meta argues this does not constitute a breach, as each user operates within their own isolated virtual machine. An undisclosed zero-day vulnerability was also identified in the Muse macOS app during the same period.
