Arbitrum One has replaced its Timeboost transaction ordering system with Priority Gas Auctions (PGA), effective September 24. The new model allows users to bid for execution priority on each individual transaction, with 125-millisecond bidding rounds within 250-millisecond blocks. An anti-starvation mechanism ensures that transactions with low or zero tips do not get permanently stuck. The platform is also launching Fast Feed, a paid WebSocket service that delivers ordered transaction data before the standard sequencer feed, with 97% of revenue going to the DAO Treasury and 3% to the Arbitrum Developer Guild. This transition was approved through an onchain vote in June 2026 with overwhelming community support.
