Share

Bitcoin traded as high as $86,332 on Monday, its highest level since January, closing at $81,152 for a 4.98% gain. Crypto exchanges recorded $877.31 million in liquidations over 24 hours, with $740.79 million (84%) coming from short positions caught off guard by the rally. The bounce that began near $62,000 on August 17 has brought Bitcoin’s year-to-date loss to under 3%, though it remains over 30% below its record above $126,000. Several major events will be key in the coming weeks: the Trump-Xi summit on September 24, the PCE inflation reading on September 30, the September jobs report on October 2, and CPI data on October 14.
