Warner Music Group and AI music platform Suno have settled a bitter copyright lawsuit by signing a licensing deal that allows Suno to train its AI models on WMG’s catalog. The agreement creates a revenue-sharing structure for artists who opt in to have their work used for AI-generated music. Suno launched its v6 suite of AI models on September 9, 2026, claiming over 2 million paying subscribers and a valuation of $5.4 billion. Universal Music Group and Sony Music have not settled and their lawsuits against Suno remain active.
