Meta invests $115M in America’s Workforce Academy for skilled trades training

Meta is investing $115 million in America’s Workforce Academy, the largest private-sector commitment to skilled trades training in the United States. The program trains veterans, recent graduates, and career changers to become electricians, welders, and construction workers needed to build the data centers powering artificial intelligence. Pilot programs are rolling out in Houston, Baton Rouge, Indianapolis, and Columbus, cities near Meta’s existing or planned data center operations. Graduates receive NCCER credentials and a guaranteed job offer from Meta’s construction partners. The first cohort graduated in August 2026, and the Level-Up training program attracted 35,000 applicants in its first week.
