Ethereum sees 13.6x more ETH waiting to be staked than exited

Share

The ratio of ETH waiting to enter staking versus ETH waiting to exit has hit 13.6x, a historic imbalance reflecting deep conviction among ETH holders. Total staked ETH has reached a record high of approximately 41 million ETH, representing 33.5% to 34% of the entire supply, with 885,000 to 900,000 active validators. The entry queue still held around 1.8 million ETH by late September, implying a wait time of roughly 32 days to become a validator. Large institutional operators like BitMine have significantly contributed to this demand, while the Pectra upgrade has also fueled staking appetite. The protocol caps processing at approximately 57,600 ETH per day, creating a built-in buffer against sudden supply shocks.
