VanEck expects Bitcoin to reach $100,000 next year, according to its head of digital assets research, Matthew Sigel. Bitcoin was trading around $77,403 on Friday, up 1.26% on the day and more than 20% over the month, while remaining roughly 39% below its record of over $126,000 set in October 2025. Sigel cites over-indebted governments as the main supporting factor, along with volatility having halved over four years. Despite the Fed and Bank of Japan rate hikes and the Senate rejection of the Clarity Act, Bitcoin held its ground. From Friday’s price, a 29% gain would be needed to reach the $100,000 mark.
