SEC grants relief for onchain stock tokens; Treasury sanctions BitBank

The SEC has granted a five-year relief for onchain stock tokens, excluding synthetic variants, marking a progressive regulatory shift for the crypto industry. Simultaneously, the CFTC has allowed wallet developers to offer regulated perpetual contracts without requiring broker registration. The U.S. Treasury has sanctioned the Tehran-based exchange BitBank for its involvement in bitcoin transfers to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Crypto.com’s Nadex has registered with the SEC without a commission vote, suggesting a streamlined regulatory procedure.
