Mecka AI nears $500M valuation as new funding round takes shape

Mecka AI, a two-year-old startup developing infrastructure for human motion data, is reportedly close to reaching a $500 million valuation in a new funding round. The company has raised approximately $68 million in total funding to date, including a $25 million Series A in November 2025 and a $35 million extension in June 2026. Mecka’s flagship product, Egoverse, collects first-person human activity data using custom sensors and iPhones to train robotic systems. The startup projects an annual recurring revenue of $100 million. Co-founded by Josh Gao, Mogen Cheng, Jason Chong, and Duy Nguyen, the company employs between 40 and 60 people, with a significant presence in Toronto.
