Bitcoin Suisse to cut up to 50% of Swiss staff in major restructuring push

Bitcoin Suisse, one of Switzerland’s oldest crypto firms, is cutting up to 60 positions, representing roughly half of its 120 Swiss employees. Administrative, back-office, and software development roles will be moved to Bratislava and Vietnam, while client-facing positions remain in Switzerland. The company, which helped establish Zug’s « Crypto Valley » reputation, frames this as a strategic repositioning toward institutional wealth management rather than a response to Bitcoin price volatility. The employee consultation period is set to conclude on September 20, 2026.
