Samsung works to draw iPhone users to its foldables even as Apple enters the market

Samsung launched its Galaxy Z Fold8 series in July and reported that iOS users switching to its foldables reached 1.6 times the rate of the previous generation. In the U.S., 30% of Galaxy Z Flip8 buyers came from competing brands, with most purchasing a foldable phone for the first time. Samsung leads the global foldable smartphone market with an estimated 32% share this year, but Apple, which unveiled its first foldable iPhone at a Wednesday launch event, is expected to capture a 25% market share.
