FDJ United has seen its effective tax rate surge from 25.7% to 42.5% in one year, driven by the exceptional contribution on profits of large companies. Originally presented as temporary for 2025 and already extended to 2026, this surtax raises corporate tax from 25% to 41.2% for companies with revenues exceeding 3 billion euros, affecting around 300 firms with an expected yield of 7.3 billion euros. In the first half of 2026, FDJ United posted a net loss of 16 million euros versus a profit of 136 million a year earlier, with adjusted net income down 19% notably due to an exceptional tax contribution of 20 million euros.
