An Amazon cargo plane overran the runway at Miami International Airport on Sunday, prompting the closure of all runways and taxiways and a ground stop. The Boeing 767 aircraft, operated under the Prime Air brand, was arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and came to rest at the northwest end of the airport. Plumes of black smoke were seen rising from the disabled plane near a roadway and two parked semi-trucks. The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed the incident occurred at approximately 2 p.m. ET. The airport, one of the busiest travel hubs in the United States, remains affected by this emergency response.
