Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang declared that artificial general intelligence has finally arrived, citing OpenAI’s new ChatGPT model trained on his chips. The company sold 89 billion dollars worth of AI hardware in three months, more than double the previous year. Approximately 100,000 Nvidia servers, each containing 72 chips, were used to train the model. A 100-billion-dollar deal announced between the two companies in 2025 was never signed. Huang pledged the imminent installation of 400,000 additional chips.
