Bitcoin traded back above $80,000 on Thursday morning after Fed Governor Christopher Waller said he could support holding rates steady in September, unwinding a week in which traders had made a rate increase the favorite, pushing bitcoin below $78,000 following Chair Kevin Warsh’s Jackson Hole speech. At $80,510, bitcoin was up 4.8% over 24 hours and 1.1% over seven days, with total crypto market value at $2.74 trillion.
