Ripple News: BIS Turns to XRP Ledger for 3–5 Second Data Verification

The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) published a working paper describing a proof of concept using the XRP Ledger to anchor tamper-evident fingerprints of official economic data. Researchers compressed these fingerprints into a Merkle root, anchored on the XRP Ledger via a public DevNet node. According to the report, median publication times reached 3–5 seconds and verification 1–2 seconds. XRP currently trades around $1.36, after a 70% run from $0.99 to $1.70 in August. The key support zone sits at $1.32–$1.38, with a potential target of $1.90–$2.10 in September if this zone holds.
