TrueUSD’s $456M court case gives defendant days to reveal legal funding source – or face court sanctions

A Dubai court ordered Matthew William Brittain to disclose by Sept. 7 the sources of legal payments tied to a dispute over $456 million connected to TrueUSD reserves. Techteryx, the claimant, obtained a proprietary injunction and worldwide freeze covering funds transferred from Legacy Trust and First Digital Trust. Brittain must file an affidavit detailing amounts paid to Quinn Emanuel, Horizons, Gall, Campbells and FTI Consulting, along with ultimate beneficial owners and bank accounts used. The committal hearing is set for Oct. 26 for an estimated four days. Fraud allegations are also being pursued in a separate case in Hong Kong.
