BlackRock maintains its conviction on Bitcoin despite a correction of nearly 50 % since the October 2025 peaks, with BTC stabilizing around $76,476 in early September. The world’s largest asset manager believes that U.S. federal debt, which reached $40 trillion for the first time, supports the thesis of a limited-supply safe haven against monetary debasement. In a traditional 60/40 portfolio, a 1 to 2 % Bitcoin allocation would improve the Sharpe ratio from 0.81 to 0.96, without significantly worsening maximum drawdown, which remains around -20 %. Institutional flows have nonetheless slowed, with approximately $5 billion in net outflows from Bitcoin spot ETFs since October 2025, compared to $60 billion in inflows between January 2024 and October 2025, as AI thematic funds attracted $46 billion over the same period.
