Granola showcases decentralized order book for Cashu atomic swaps

Granola, a decentralized order book built on the Cashu ecash protocol and Nostr, conducted its first public demo enabling atomic swaps between BTC and USD tokens without giving up custody of funds. Developed during a November 2024 hackathon by Breno Brito and luisschwab, the project uses a three-message protocol and HTLC-style mechanisms similar to those powering the Lightning Network. Trades occur without a central server or intermediary, with users retaining custody of their tokens through Chaumian ecash. The system currently runs on testnet with fake testnut ecash, with no mainnet deployment or token launch announced.
