Uefa and its 55 member associations had threatened to boycott all Fifaa competitions over a controversial plan to commercialize tournament rights called FFE (Fifaa Forward Enterprise). The project aimed to sell minority stakes in a new commercial subsidiary to generate approximately $4.2 billion. Facing unanimous rejection, president Gianni Infantino withdrew the plan and Fifaa issued an apology. As a result, Uefa decided to participate in the Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland, running from September 5 to 27. Revenue distribution remains a central issue, with European associations participating while reserving the right to revisit their position.
