Cosmos Labs has faced strong backlash from the crypto security community over its handling of a bug disclosure in its Cosmos EVM module. Four networks using the module were affected: MANTRA, TAC, KiiChain, and Nesa. KiiChain had its wallets drained of 150 million KII tokens, theoretically worth over $9 million, but the funds were sold for just $1.6 million in BUSD. The TAC network saw 3 billion TAC tokens, worth approximately $7.5 million, stolen from its staking contract on the same day. KiiChain publicly accused Cosmos Labs of handing the vulnerability to anyone by publishing the fix without first notifying the affected chains.
