Shiba Inu (SHIB) has ended an 11-month bearish cycle as the token definitively crossed above its 200-day moving average for the first time in 2026. Its market capitalization has stabilized around $3.22 to $3.26 billion, turning this level into a new price floor. SHIB officially entered Japan’s regulated market following Laser Digital’s license acquisition as a Nomura subsidiary, while short liquidations totaling $3.1 billion contributed to the price surge. In August, SHIB posted its best month in five years with a 15.9% gain, bringing its quarterly return to a record 30.1%. With a daily trading volume of $146.2 million, the token is positioned to overtake competitors, needing only a 0.6% rise to surpass Avalanche.
