AFC Bournemouth have completed a season-long loan deal for Italian goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio from Juventus. The agreement includes a non-mandatory purchase option set at around 14 million euros, approximately 12 million pounds. The 29-year-old Di Gregorio rose to prominence at Monza before joining Juventus permanently last summer for a total outlay of roughly 18 million euros. The loan gives Bournemouth genuine competition in goal, with Serbian keeper Đorđe Petrović already established as the club’s number one. From Juventus’s perspective, the deal allows them to recoup most of their investment if Bournemouth decide to trigger the purchase option.
