ACE Robotics, a Chinese startup backed by Ant Group and SenseTime, plans to deploy its embodied AI technology in 1,000 stores over the next year. Its chairman Wang Xiaogang predicts humanoid robots could reach their « ChatGPT moment » by the end of 2027, driven by world models and massive data collection. The company raised over $100 million in the first half of 2026 and aims to go public as soon as possible. The industry currently has approximately 100,000 hours of training data, which Wang Xiaogang considers insufficient, targeting tens of millions of hours of data collection within the next two years.
