Hong Kong’s IPO boom extends beyond tech, HKEX CEO says, as fundraising tops $40 billion

Hong Kong Exchange CEO Bonnie Chan said more than 100 companies have listed this year with proceeds exceeding $40 billion, already surpassing the $37 billion raised throughout 2025. While AI and the broader tech sector have driven a surge in listings, the IPO pipeline remains well-diversified across biotechnology, mining, and consumer companies. HKEX also posted record first-half net profit, up 24% year on year to HK$10.57 billion, while follow-on offerings topped $50 billion year to date.
