Long-term bond yields hit multi-decade highs, with the 30-year Treasury yield reaching a fresh 19-year peak and Japan’s 10-year yield climbing to its highest in three decades. Despite the rise in yields, investors remained confident that economic growth and strong corporate earnings would continue to support equities. The FOMC meeting minutes from July, due Wednesday, are expected to shed light on divisions within the central bank, while major retailers including Target, TJX and Lowe’s report quarterly results.
