Arthur Hayes, the co-founder of BitMEX, is coming out of retirement to lead Flop Labs, a new venture building the Flop Network and its native $FLOP token. The network is designed to serve as a dedicated currency layer for autonomous AI agents capable of negotiating, paying, and making economic decisions without human intervention at every step. Hayes is committing to what he calls a 100% fair launch, with no presale rounds and no venture capital allocation. A large-scale token airdrop is planned for Q4 2026, with the mainnet genesis block targeted for Q1 2027. Technical specifications and tokenomics remain undisclosed as of the announcement date.
