Mishaboar, a vocal Dogecoin community member, relayed a security warning to Bitcoin holders using BitBox hardware wallets. The manufacturer fixed two severe vulnerabilities in its firmware that could have allowed an attacker to install malicious firmware, unlock the device and steal user funds. BitBox urged its community to immediately update the BitBoxApp and device firmware. Mishaboar also advised users to ensure the computer used for the update is secure, preferably a new or freshly reset machine. Additionally, crypto analyst Ali notes that Dogecoin is experiencing its tightest Bollinger Band squeeze since September 2023, with a buy signal appearing on the monthly chart.
