Jim Cramer, host of Mad Money on CNBC, said Monday that the AI boom has rewritten the rules for memory stocks, with Sandisk surging 653% this year, Seagate jumping 261%, Micron gaining 254% and Western Digital climbing 211%. Cramer believes this cycle differs from previous ones because memory is so scarce that Elon Musk has publicly identified it as the key bottleneck for data center growth. Memory manufacturers have also become more disciplined, securing long-term customer agreements instead of aggressively expanding production capacity.
