Micron, SanDisk stocks rise as investors boost AI spending confidence

Micron Technology and SanDisk shares climbed 7 to 9 percent in recent July 2026 trading sessions, recovering from a significant correction that had pushed Micron down roughly 25 percent from its 2026 highs. SanDisk, which debuted independently on Nasdaq in February 2025 after separating from Western Digital, has gained more than 570 percent year-to-date. Bank of America was among the institutions issuing upgrades that contributed to the July rebound. Micron also announced plans to commit 250 billion dollars to US investment through 2035, aimed at expanding its manufacturing capacity for AI server memory. The global memory market, dominated by three key players including Micron, SK Hynix and Samsung, is benefiting from structural demand linked to artificial intelligence infrastructure development.
