Strategy posted a net loss of $8.22 billion in Q2 2026, entirely due to a 14% decline in Bitcoin over the period, from $68,000 to $58,600. The company currently holds 843,775 BTC, representing more than 4% of Bitcoin’s total maximum supply, with an average purchase price of $75,653 per coin and an unrealized loss exceeding $10 billion on its portfolio. In July, Strategy sold $218.4 million worth of Bitcoin to fund dividend payments, breaking its sacred never-sell principle for the first time in its history. However, Saylor signaled confidence by posting Bitcoin Drive engaged, suggesting the company has secured $3.75 billion in cash and the capacity to raise up to $23.53 billion in new shares to return to massive discounted Bitcoin purchases.
