Samsung unit explores stablecoin infrastructure with Upbit’s operator

Samsung SDS, a Samsung subsidiary, is exploring stablecoin infrastructure development in partnership with Dunamu, the operator of the Upbit exchange platform. This initiative combines Dunamu’s blockchain expertise with Samsung SDS’s cloud and security capabilities. In the second quarter, Samsung SDS reported revenue of 3.72 trillion South Korean won ($2.6 billion), up 5.9% year on year. The company plans to expand its AI infrastructure from 110 MW today to over 800 MW by 2031, as part of a broader strategy that includes digital finance services.
