Meta Platforms will report its second quarter 2026 earnings on July 29, and investors are now focused on the smart glasses segment rather than advertising revenue or the metaverse. Ray-Ban Meta glasses sales more than tripled in 2025, surpassing 7 million units, up from roughly 2 million across 2023 and 2024 combined. In partnership with EssilorLuxottica, both companies are reportedly considering scaling annual production capacity to 20 million units by the end of 2026, with projections reaching 30 million. New models are priced between 299 and 799 dollars including prescription options, and smart glasses revenue may have already surpassed that of Meta’s Quest VR headset line in 2025.
