Jim Cramer: J&J talc settlement is good for a stock that has so much going for it already

Johnson & Johnson announced a $5.5 billion settlement to resolve approximately 76,000 lawsuits related to talc and ovarian cancer, covering roughly 15 years of litigation. The company will pay $3 billion in 2027, with the settlement contingent on participation from at least 95% of claimants. The stock reached record highs near $275 before giving back some gains. Jim Cramer maintains a buy-equivalent rating, highlighting the company’s other major strengths in pharmaceuticals and medical technology. The shares are up nearly 30% year-to-date, driven by strong sales such as Darzalex, which generated $4.2 billion in the second quarter, up nearly 19% year over year.
