CXMT set for Shanghai debut after Asia’s biggest IPO raises $8.6 billion

Chinese memory chipmaker CXMT Corp completed Asia’s largest IPO in 2026, raising approximately $8.6 billion on the Shanghai STAR Market. With a post-IPO valuation of roughly $85 billion, the company offered 6.69 billion shares at 8.66 yuan each, attracting massive demand with retail oversubscription exceeding 200 times and institutional subscriptions surpassing 500 times. Set to debut on July 27 under ticker 688825, CXMT becomes the world’s fourth-largest DRAM producer and has reported revenue growth exceeding 700 percent. The listing ranks as China’s second-largest domestic IPO in history, trailing only the Agricultural Bank of China’s 2010 offering.
